Objects of Note with Foster Lomas

The Art Work:

I commissioned my partner Sonia Stanyard to make the artwork in the meeting room, which has proved to be a success with visitors and clients. Everyone wants to learn about it and it has become a good talking point in the space.

The Classic 1970s BMW Motorbike:

The bike is one of my passions and with no garage at home it has become part of the furniture in the office. It is the same age as me and a design classic which I've discreetly customised to make for a smoother ride. Another great talking point in the office.

The Cabin Model:

This a model for a visitor centre within a nature reserve on the Isle of Man which is near of award winning Home of Year project Restorative Retreat for Sartfell. We love the simplicity of this build, opening up views of the harsh landscape it sits within. Sometimes it’s the small projects that really make us think.

The Staircase:

The staircase was designing collaboration with the blacksmiths and metal workers in Exmoor who I trained with during my early career. It fits neatly into the original hole for when the building was a print factory.

The Record Player and Records:

I am a big record collector and enjoy playing records and Foster Lomas has his own record collection to which over the years we exchange Christmas presents of various LPs. It is a real pleasure for a record on a listen to an album within the space.

Should you wish to check out the Foster Lomas office listing on the NO HQ website, follow this link and have a look. Most of the desks are now taken, but you can rent the entire downstairs space for creative presentations, company away days etc. It’s a stunning space just a short walk away from London Bridge Station.
